I’m catching Ingrid Bergman night on TCM. Just saw Casablanca, which I had the good fortune to flip to just in time for the moving “La Marseillaise” scene, and now it’s Bergman + Hitchcock in Notorious. HELLS YEAH. (Her people? Also Nordic.)

Just have to say, quickly, that Mad Men is absolutely the business. If you haven’t seen this show yet, snap to it! The new season is now airing on AMC, but I suggest, as always, starting with the beginning. DVDs are now out, or you can just buck the system and download it. I’m currently about halfway through season one, and I will have more to say about this soon!

This is why TCM rules. I watched some Henry Fonda action last night: giving Bette Davis what for in Jezebel and standing up for justice in 12 Angry Men.
You are correct. If I have ever laughed about TCM, I take it all back!
Now if only I could magically flip to them right now and see either The Thin Man or Double Indemnity, mah laff would be complete.
Also wondering: how recent are the films they show? Will I ever flip to The Graduate, for example? If so, I would declare them to be my husband.
